So recently due to my commute and work load, I found myself in a situation where it wasn’t as easy to make it to the gym. For me exercise improves my energy levels and benefits my mood, so they are the main reasons that it is important for me to include it in my daily routine. Personally, for me exercise isn’t about achieving a certain look or aesthetics so i'm not really too bothered about what form of exercise I engage in. Instead of putting extra pressure on myself to get up at a ridiculous time in the morning to go to the gym, which would just result in me being more tired. I looked at other ways that I could try to fit some exercise into my day. Here are the main ones that helped me and that were realistic to fit into my day. Xxx

10 minute youtube videos
I try and do one of these every night. As they are so short the idea of committing to doing one isn't as daunting. Doing one of these videos everyday, along with your 2 ten minute walks to the bus/train will mena that you have managed to fit your 30 mins of exercise into the day.
2. Walking to and from places you need to go
3. Commiting to going for a ‘10 minute run in the evenings’
This will always turn into a longer run, but sometimes I have to trick myself into leaving my cozy bed and getting in some exercise as I know that I will feel better afterwards, but its just leaving the house that can be the hard bit.
4. Make dates with your friends involving some form of exercise
5. Have a really simple plan made out for the week
This may include committing to doing 20 reps of each exercise (squats, lunges, etc), every night. Keep it so simple when starting off as its more likely you will stick to it. Making out a little calendar that you can cross off days you completed it, will really help motivate you to follow it.
6. Remember that anything is better than nothing
You don’t need an hour or even 30 minutes to get a complete, effective workout. Just because your not doing and intense glute workout in the gym doesn’t mean that doing your 10 min youtube video doesn’t count and that you shouldn’t do it.
7. Workout efficiently
Im a culprite for going to the gym and getting distracted from working out. An hour will have passed and I still won't have gotten my workout done. If you manage to find time to workout, I would say to try your best to commit to your workout and to avoid distractions until your done.
